Motorcyclist Dies in Multi-Vehicle Crash on I-15 Express Lanes in Miramar

Miramar, CA (September 21, 2025) – A fatal crash on Interstate 15 involving a motorcycle and two vehicles occurred Saturday afternoon near the State Route 163 merge.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the frightening crash happened on the southbound Interstate 15 express lanes around 3:33 p.m.

Reports say that a white Mustang was seen pulled over on the right shoulder, while a black BMW stopped in the center divider. Officers briefly closed traffic at Miramar Way and shut down the southbound I-15 HOV transition to SR-163 as they searched for the motorcycle.

Authorities later found it at the end of the transition near the SR-163 approach.

Officials confirmed that the crash claimed one life.
