SMITH COUNTY, TX (April 29, 2026) – Early Tuesday morning, several people were injured in a disastrous multi-vehicle accident on Interstate 20 near Highway 110.

The incident happened at 12:20 a.m. on westbound Interstate 20, between Highway 110 and Hideaway, west of Lindale.

According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, a white pickup truck became lodged underneath an 18-wheeler in a crash that also involved several other pickup trucks.

Officials said the semi was an Amazon truck, though the circumstances leading up to the collision are still unclear. The truck left the scene around 5:15 a.m.

Troopers reported that at least three to four people were injured, but their conditions have not been released.

Westbound traffic on I-20 toward the Dallas-Fort Worth area was heavily affected for a time, though the scene has since been cleared.
