Multi-Vehicle Crash on Ajo Way Injures 3 People [Pima County, AZ]

Pima County, AZ (August 12, 2025) – A horrific multi-vehicle crash on Ajo Way injured at least three people on Friday.

According to the Drexel Heights Fire District, the shocking incident happened at the intersection of Ajo Way and Kinney Road.

Reports say that one victim was trapped inside a vehicle that caught fire. Emergency crews quickly rescued the driver and extinguished the flames.

The Pima County Sheriff’s Department reported that one person sustained life-threatening injuries and was rushed to the hospital. Two others suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

Authorities closed the roadway from about 11:30 a.m. until 2:45 p.m. as they investigated and cleared the scene.
