Drivers Hospitalized After Three-Vehicle Crash Involving DPS Trooper in Edinburg
Edinburg, TX (March 14, 2026) — Late Friday morning, two drivers were hospitalized after a three-vehicle crash on Canton Road involving a Texas Department of Public Safety trooper in Edinburg.
Authorities said the collision happened around 11:30 a.m. at the intersection with Jackson Road. Investigators reported that a DPS trooper entered the intersection and collided with a passenger vehicle before striking another car.
Emergency responders transported the two civilian drivers to nearby hospitals with minor, non-life-threatening injuries. The trooper was also taken to a local hospital for precautionary evaluation.
Officials have not yet released details about what led to the crash. The Texas Department of Public Safety continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident.
