1 Dead in Albuquerque Multi-Vehicle Accident on Coors Boulevard and Westside Drive NW

ALBUQUERQUE, NM (May 4, 2026) – Thursday night, a motorcyclist died in a devastating multi-vehicle crash on Coors Boulevard and Westside Drive NW.

The incident involving two motorcycles and a vehicle happened just before 8:00 p.m. on Coors Boulevard and Westside Drive NW.

Investigators said one motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene, while a second rider was taken to a hospital in critical condition following the crash.

According to the Albuquerque Police Department, a white Toyota RAV4 was traveling south on Coors and moved into the left-turn lane at Westside Drive. As the driver attempted to turn left, the SUV was struck by two motorcycles — a white 2024 Suzuki and a red 2000 Yamaha.

Police said the Suzuki rider was ejected and died at the scene, while the Yamaha rider was also ejected and transported to the hospital in critical condition.

Authorities reported no signs of impairment from any of the drivers. Witnesses told investigators the motorcycles were traveling at a high rate of speed at the time of the crash.
