Injuries Reported in St Louis County Multi-Vehicle Accident on Earth City Expressway and Rider Trail North

ST LOUIS COUNTY, MO (September 2, 2026) – Monday, an alarming multi-vehicle crash on Earth City Expressway and Rider Trail North injured two people.

The incident happened at about 9:10 a.m. at the intersection of the Earth City Expressway and Rider Trail North.

The four-vehicle crash involving a diesel tanker and an overturned UPS truck shut down all southbound lanes of the expressway for about an hour, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

MSHP said the tanker was carrying diesel fuel but did not leak after the crash. The UPS delivery truck also overturned.

Crews had to cut power to an electrical box that the two trucks were resting on before they could safely clear the scene.
