6 People Injured in 4-Vehicle Crash on Highway 101 in Templeton

TEMPLETON, CA (February 18, 2026) — A multi-vehicle crash on Highway 101 injured several people and caused significant traffic delays on Wednesday afternoon in Templeton, according to the California Highway Patrol.

At approximately 3:13 p.m., CHP received reports of four vehicles involved in a crash on the southbound side of Highway 101, just south of Vineyard Drive. 

Authorities stated that one of the vehicles deployed its airbags during the collision.

Following the impact, all four vehicles came to rest in the center divide and along the roadside. 

Emergency responders arrived quickly and assessed those involved in the crash.

According to CHP officers and emergency service radio communications, six people sustained minor injuries. 

Paramedics evaluated victims at the scene as officers worked to secure the area and manage traffic flow.

The crash slowed southbound traffic to a crawl within 10 minutes of the initial reports. 

CHP units noted that the No. 2 lane remained blocked by one of the damaged vehicles as crews continued clearing the roadway.

The cause of the collision remains under investigation.
