2 People Dead in Santa Clara Multi-Vehicle Accident on Highway 101 near Great American Parkway

SANTA CLARA, CA (November 4, 2025) – Sunday morning, a brutal multi-vehicle crash on Highway 101 near Great American Parkway killed two people.

The incident happened at around 1:00 a.m. on northbound Highway 101, just north of Great American Parkway.

According to the California Highway Patrol, a vehicle struck a northbound 2023 Hyundai Elantra for still unknown reasons. Then, the force of the crash pushed the Hyundai onto the median and caused it to roll over. Also, the vehicle that struck the Hyundai fled the scene without stopping to provide aid.

Moreover, a 2016 Hyundai Accent struck the Elantra and two of its occupants, who got out of the wreckage.

Furthermore, officers confirmed that the 44-year-old man and the 27-year-old woman who were occupants of the Elantra died in the crash.

Meanwhile, the driver of the Accent remained at the scene to cooperate with the authorities.

At this time, the events leading to the crash remained unclear. When additional information becomes available, the public will be notified.

Due to limited information, the CHP continued investigating the crash.
