Two Killed in Highway 32 Crash Near Salem, Missouri

Salem, MO (August 27, 2026) — A man and a woman died Tuesday evening after a three-vehicle crash on Highway 32 near Salem, Missouri.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, a 17-year-old driving a 2006 Dodge Ram 2500 failed to yield and struck a stopped 2020 Ford Escape that was waiting to turn left. The pickup crossed the centerline and then collided head-on with a 1973 dune buggy.

The dune buggy’s 60-year-old driver and 59-year-old female passenger, both from Salem, died in the crash. Authorities reported no other injuries.

The crash marked the 24th and 25th traffic fatalities recorded in Troop I during 2026.
