ESCONDIDO, CA (January 12, 2026) – Thursday night, a disastrous multi-vehicle crash on Interstate 15 near El Norte Parkway injured one person.

The incident happened at around 7:45 p.m. on the northbound Interstate 15 near the El Norte Parkway off-ramp.

The California Highway Patrol said that a white Chevy Camaro collided with a black BMW that was traveling at a high rate of speed and reckless manner. Then, the crash sends the Camaro into the freeway embankment.

Responders transported one person to a hospital with head injuries.
