One Dead, Another Injured in Tractor-Trailer Crash on I-5 in Norwalk

Norwalk, CA (September 11, 2026) — Early Thursday, a multi-vehicle crash on Interstate 5 involving at least two tractor-trailers left one person dead and another injured.

The collision occurred around 12:09 a.m. near Rosecrans Avenue, causing a vehicle to overturn. At least one injured person went to a hospital for treatment, while the victim who died was initially transported to a hospital and later pronounced dead.

The California Highway Patrol is investigating the crash. Authorities closed the freeway during the response, but reopened all southbound lanes around 4:23 a.m.
