Police Investigate Multi-Vehicle Crash on Interstate 5 in Valencia
Valencia, CA (December 25, 2025) – A serious multi-vehicle crash on Interstate 5 involving up to 10 vehicles caused significant traffic delays near Magic Mountain Parkway late Thursday morning, prompting a SigAlert from the California Highway Patrol (CHP).
The incident was reported shortly after 10:14 a.m., just south of the Magic Mountain Parkway exit.
According to CHP logs, the crash caused one vehicle to overturn after it spun out and collided with a retaining wall, landing on the right shoulder.
Among the vehicles involved was at least one AMR ambulance.
Emergency personnel responded swiftly, and reports indicate that the ambulance driver was trapped inside the vehicle, prompting an urgent rescue effort.
Due to inclement weather and resulting heavy traffic, CHP officers closed lanes No. 2, 3, and 4 on the northbound side of the freeway.
A SigAlert was issued and is expected to last for at least two hours as crews work to clear the scene and restore traffic flow.
As of 11:32 a.m., the freeway remains partially closed while towing operations are underway and lanes are gradually being prepared for reopening.
