2 People Hurt in Jefferson City Multi-Vehicle Accident on Missouri River Bridge

JEFFERSON CITY, MO (August 26, 2026) – Monday afternoon, a disastrous multi-vehicle crash on the Missouri River Bridge injured two people.

The incident happened at around 4:19 p.m. on the eastbound Missouri River Bridge.

According to reports, a Chevrolet Trailblazer failed to stop for traffic and collided with a Chevrolet Silverado. Then, the force of the crash pushed the Silverado to strike a Hyundai, which then hit a Buick.

Moreover, responders transported the driver of the Silverado with a head injury and a passenger with a leg injury to a hospital for treatment.

At this time, the events leading to the crash remain unclear. When additional information becomes available, the public will be notified.

Due to limited information, the Jefferson City Police Department continued its investigation into the crash.
