Injuries Reported in Joplin Multi-Vehicle Accident on North Main Street

JOPLIN, MO (June 8, 2026) – Friday night, a crippling multi-vehicle crash on North Main Street sent 4 people to the hospital.

Reports said that the incident happened just after 5:00 p.m. on North Main Street, over Turkey Creek near Ozark Christian College.

Emergency crews from the Joplin Fire Department, Joplin Police Department, and METS Ambulance responded to the crash scene.

Investigators determined that three vehicles were directly involved in the collision, and a possible fourth vehicle may have been struck by debris.

Four adults were transported to area hospitals. One patient was transported with lights and sirens, indicating a high-priority medical response. Authorities noted that no children were involved in the crash.

The Joplin Police Department began assembling at the scene, and North Main Street was closed to all traffic while the investigation proceeded.
