Multiple Crashes on State Highway 31 Led to Injuries [Gregg County, TX]

Gregg County, TX (May 13, 2025) — On Monday, emergency crews responded to multiple crashes on State Highway 31 in Gregg County, leading to road closures and major traffic delays.

The Kilgore Fire Department said firefighters assisted Sabine Fire & Rescue at a multi-vehicle collision about one mile east of FM 3053 along SH 31. Several people reportedly suffered injuries in the crash.

Authorities also confirmed another injury collision occurred nearby around the same time. Officials urged drivers to avoid the area as emergency responders continued working at both scenes.

The Gregg County Sheriff’s Office reported an additional crash near Wildflower Hill Road on Highway 31 and warned motorists to expect delays and possible closures for several hours.

Investigators have not determined whether the crashes are connected.
