St. Louis, MO (November 30, 2024) – Multiple individuals hospitalized after crash on Washington Avenue.

A driver crashed a vehicle in St. Louis early Saturday morning following an overnight pursuit by Brooklyn (Illinois) Police Department officers. 

According to the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department (SLMPD), the chase ended around 5:30 a.m.

SLMPD reported that Brooklyn officers pursued a Dodge Ram allegedly involved in an earlier collision with a Hyundai Elantra. 

The pursuit continued into the City of St. Louis, where the Dodge Ram overturned near Washington Avenue and North Grand Boulevard.

The crash sent multiple individuals to nearby hospitals, where they were listed in critical but stable condition, according to SLMPD. 

Additionally, a light pole and a building sustained damage in the incident.

The Brooklyn Police Department will investigate the pursuit, while SLMPD is focusing on the crash investigation.
