Los Angeles, CA (June 22, 2025) — 78-year-old Myong Park died after a vehicle struck him while he was walking on the southbound Hollywood (101) Freeway in downtown Los Angeles early Saturday morning.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash happened around 3:30 a.m. just south of Alameda Street. Authorities identified the victim as Myong Park.

Investigators said the incident was not a hit-and-run. Officials have not determined why Park was walking on the freeway, and no additional details have been released.

The crash remains under investigation.
