Long Beach, CA (March 3, 2026) – 1-year-old Myrah Hunter was killed in an accident on Maine Avenue before Monday noon.

It was before 11:30 a.m. when the deadly crash happened at the 400 block area.

Investigators said a driver was backing up an SUV, possibly trying to turn around, when the vehicle jumped the curb, and struck a woman and two girls.

Immediately, the three victims were transported to a hospital, but the most seriously injured patient, 1-year-old Myrah Hunter, succumbed to her injuries.

The woman and the other injured child are stable.
