Nando Luis Alvarez Dies in Motorcycle Crash on DiGiorgio Road [Arvin, CA]

Arvin, CA (September 1, 2022) – At about 1:30 a.m. today, Nando Luis Alvarez, a 25-year-old from Bakersfield, lost his life in a crash on DiGiorgio Road.

The authorities immediately responded to South Edison Road and located Alvarez unresponsive. Sadly, the officers declared Nando Luis Alvarez dead at the crash scene.

According to the officers handling this case, Adolfo Lievanos Garcia, a 33-year-old Lamont resident was driving a westbound Lincoln on DiGiorgio Road at an unknown speed. His vehicle was behind the motorcycle driven by Alvarez.

Suddenly, Garcia rear-ended the motorcycle. The impact of the collision threw Alvarez on the ground while the motorcycle overturned several times.

Meanwhile, the authorities say drugs and alcohol do not as factors in the incident. They are still investigating and encourage anyone with information about this crash to call the CHP at 661-396-6600.
