Fatal Rollover Crash on Highway 20 in Nevada City
NEVADA CITY, CA (November 24, 2018) – At least one person was killed following a rollover crash Saturday afternoon in Nevada City, authorities said.
The crash happened around 12:25 p.m. on Highway 20 at Harmony Ridge Road.
According to the California Highway Patrol, a Honda Accord overturned and went about 100 feet down embankment. Approximately four other vehicles pulled to the right shoulder, unknown if they were involved in the crash.
While the cause of the crash has not yet been determined, at least one fatality was found as a result of the accident. A Nevada County Coroner’s personnel was immediately notified to pick up the victim’s remains.
The highway was shut for the on-scene investigation and was re-opened around 2:35 p.m.
