Motorcyclist Dies in Crash on Interstate 10 in San Antonio

San Antonio, TX (July 28, 2025) – A late-night crash on Interstate 10 ended in tragedy Saturday when a 20-year-old motorcyclist, identified as Nicholas Galindo, lost control and was fatally struck by an 18-wheeler.

According to the San Antonio Police Department, the crash happened around 11:05 p.m. in the 13500 block of I-10 West near De Zavala Road.

Reports say that Galindo had been racing another motorcycle in the southbound lanes when he was ejected from his bike and hit by the semi-truck.

Emergency crews pronounced Galindo dead at the scene. The Bexar County Medical Examiner’s Office has yet to confirm the official cause of death.

Both the truck driver and the second motorcyclist remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators. No additional injuries were reported. Authorities continue to investigate the incident.
