Nicholas Meath Killed, Cameron Groom Arrested in Car Crash on Scottsdale Road

Scottsdale, AZ (November 16, 2020) – On Saturday, 21-year-old Nicholas Meath died, and 27-year-old Cameron Groom was arrested in a fatal crash on Indian Bend Road.

Furthermore, authorities say the Arizona crash happened at around 6:30 p.m.

Reports say Meath and Groom are driving at excessive speed next to each other’s vehicle.

Moreover, the Scottsdale Police Department says both motorists were headed south on Scottsdale road at high speed.

Subsequently, Meath lost control of his vehicle and left the roadway, and crashed into a structural post of the Scottsdale Plaza Resort.

Consequently, officials say he died at the scene.

Meanwhile, Groom stayed at the scene and authorities placed him under arrest for one count of reckless manslaughter and six counts of endangerment.

Lastly, Scottsdale Police are still investigating the crash and have closed Scottsdale Road, between Cheney Drive and Indian Bend Road.
