Police Investigate Devastating Crash at West Baker Road in Baytown

BAYTOWN, TX (October 29, 2025)— Authorities are investigating a major crash at West Baker Road that occurred Wednesday evening involving a Baytown police officer and a van.

The collision took place at approximately 7:10 p.m. on October 23, 2025. 

According to officials, the officer and two children who were inside the van sustained serious injuries and were transported by Life Flight to nearby trauma centers. 

Their current conditions have not been disclosed.

Additional occupants of the van, including the driver, were treated at the scene for unspecified injuries.

All lanes in the area have been closed as Baytown Police continue their investigation into the cause of the crash. 

Motorists are being advised to avoid the intersection and expect significant delays.

Lt. Crowell of the Baytown Police Department is the designated spokesperson for updates related to the incident.
