SCOTTSDALE, AZ (September 2, 2025) – Friday morning, an officer suffered injuries in an alarming rear-end crash on Hayden Road and Thomas Road.

The incident happened at around 4:30 a.m. on Hayden Road and Thomas Road.

A man driving a “military-style” SUV rear-ended a parked police cruiser with an officer inside, according to reports.

The officer sustained minor injuries, while the SUV driver was hospitalized with more serious injuries.

Despite the rugged appearance of the SUV, it sustained significant damage in the crash. The officer’s police vehicle, a Ford Explorer, is being evaluated as part of the investigation.
