Omar Del Ra Soto Dies in Horrific Collision on Broadway

Driver Killed in Red-Light Crash at Broadway and Craycroft in Tucson

Tucson, AZ (March 11, 2026) — A 4:30 a.m. collision on Broadway claimed the life of Omar Del Ra Soto after another driver allegedly ran a red light and struck his vehicle.

According to the Tucson Police Department, Soto was driving a Honda Civic and turning left from northbound Craycroft Road onto westbound Broadway Boulevard when he had a green traffic signal. At the same time, a Kia EV6 traveling east on Broadway failed to stop at a red light and sped through the intersection.

The Kia struck the driver’s side of Soto’s vehicle. The violent impact left Soto with fatal injuries, and he died at the scene.

The driver of the Kia suffered minor injuries and was transported to a hospital. Investigators later determined the driver was not under the influence of alcohol or drugs at the time of the crash.

Authorities continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the collision.
