Omari Alain Truth Kashaka Dies in Motorcycle Crash on Florin Road [Sacramento, CA]

Sacramento, CA (May 27, 2025) — 41-year-old Omari Alain Truth Kashaka lost his life Monday after crashing into a vehicle that allegedly made an illegal U-turn on Florin Road in Sacramento, according to the California Highway Patrol.

Investigators said the driver of a vehicle was traveling south on Power Inn Road before turning onto westbound Florin Road. Authorities believe the driver then attempted an illegal U-turn using a turnout, placing the vehicle directly in the path of an eastbound motorcycle.

The motorcyclist, later identified as Kashaka, could not stop in time and slammed into the passenger side of the vehicle. Kashaka suffered critical injuries and died while being transported to a hospital.

CHP said the driver fled the scene after the collision and was last seen heading south on Power Inn Road. Authorities are searching for a possible 2018 bright blue Nissan Maxima believed to have major passenger-side damage and a deployed passenger-side airbag.

The investigation remains ongoing.
