Police Investigate Fatal Crash on West Adams Avenue in Temple

TEMPLE, TX (June 14, 2026)— One person died Sunday morning after a single-vehicle crash on West Adams Avenue and NW HK Dodgen Loop in Temple, according to the Temple Police Department.

Police said officers responded to the area shortly before 7:40 a.m. on June 14, 2026, after receiving reports of a crash. When officers arrived, they found a vehicle that had struck a pole and caught fire.

Justice of the Peace Rosanne Fisher pronounced one person dead at the scene. Authorities said no one else was reported injured.

Investigators with the Temple Police Department Traffic Reconstruction Unit remained at the intersection for several hours while they examined the scene. Police asked drivers to avoid the area and use alternate routes to prevent delays.

Authorities have not yet released the identity of the deceased person or confirmed what caused the crash.
