Salinas, CA (July 29, 2026) — 40-year-old Oscar Fraga allegedly ran a red light, triggering a collision on Boronda Road, injuring 7 people.

According to Salinas police, seven people, including several children, suffered injuries in the multi-vehicle crash Sunday night at the intersection of Boronda Road and North Main Street in North Salinas.

Authorities said all of the victims are expected to recover.

Investigators identified the suspect as Fraga. Police said Fraga allegedly ran a red light, triggering the collision. Before the crash, he reportedly assaulted a man at a taco truck near Laurel Drive and Monroe Street.
