Hyundai Driver Killed in El Paso Wrong-Way Crash

El Paso, TX (August 19, 2025) – 52-year-old Oscar Lopez was killed in a vehicle collision on MLK Boulevard Monday morning.

It was around 5:30 a.m. on August 18 when the deadly crash happened at the 13100 block area.

Investigators said a southbound Ford F-150 swerved to avoid a collision and the driver lost control of the vehicle.

The truck then drove into oncoming traffic, striking a Hyundai Elantra and a Toyota Camry.

The Hyundai’s driver, Oscar Lopez, was rushed to an area hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
