Woman Injured in Fatal Crash on Choiceana Avenue in Hesperia

HESPERIA, CA (May 28, 2026)— A 47-year-old motorcyclist died, and his passenger suffered major injuries after a crash on Choiceana Avenue on Thursday afternoon.

According to the Hesperia Sheriff’s Station, the collision happened around 1:24 p.m. on May 28, 2026, at the intersection of Choiceana Avenue and Live Oak Street.

Deputies said the crash involved a motorcycle carrying two people and a silver Infiniti sedan. The intersection has a two-way stop, with stop signs for traffic on Live Oak Street. Drivers on Choiceana Avenue do not have to stop.

Investigators said the Yamaha motorcycle was traveling northbound on Choiceana Avenue when it collided with the Infiniti in the intersection.

The crash caused major damage to both vehicles. The Infiniti sustained damage to its passenger side, and its side-curtain airbags deployed. The motorcycle sustained catastrophic front-end damage, leaving debris and personal belongings scattered across the intersection.

Emergency responders transported both the rider and his 44-year-old female passenger to local hospitals with major injuries. Despite life-saving efforts, the rider later died from his injuries.

The San Bernardino County Coroner’s Office identified the deceased motorcyclist as 47-year-old Pablo A. Hermoso of Apple Valley.

The female passenger remains hospitalized.

The Infiniti driver stayed at the scene and is cooperating with investigators.
