Paloma Guadalupe Foster Killed in I-580 Vehicle Collision [San Quentin, CA]

San Quentin, CA (June 26, 2026) – Paloma Guadalupe Foster, 35, from Fullerton, Orange County, was killed following an I-580 vehicle crash Sunday.

It was before 2 a.m. when the deadly traffic crash happened on the eastbound lanes of the freeway.

Troopers said a 32-year-old Oakland man driving a Nissan Versa fell asleep causing the vehicle to crash onto the center median and veer to the shoulder.

The vehicle then drove off the road and crashed into a hillside close to the San Quentin exit.

The driver and Foster’s 7-year-old son in the back seat were not hurt in the collision.

Foster, who was also a passenger in the van, was rushed to a hospital where she died.

Moreover, investigators do not suspect the driver of intoxication and stated that they are still investigating the fatal crash.

According to the accident report, Foster was student at the University of California. Also, a GoFundMe was created to help raise funds for the victim’s funeral.
