Passenger Dies in 3-Vehicle Crash on Interstate 205 [Tracy, CA]

Tracy, CA (August 4, 2025) –  A Toyota passenger was killed in a 3-vehicle crash on Interstate 205 Saturday morning.

CHP said they responded around 6:05 a.m. to a fatal traffic collision involving a a Toyota truck and two tractor-trailer on the eastbound freeway, just east of MacArthur Drive.

According to the investigators, the Toyota drove from one end of the highway to the other, toward the right-hand shoulder, wherein a big rig was disabled. 

The right-side of the Toyota then rear-ended the semi’s trailer.

A passenger in the Toyota was thrown from the vehicle and died at the scene.

Officers do not believe alcohol or drugs played a role in this fatal crash.
