Motorcyclist Dies, Passenger Seriously Hurt After Deer Collision in Gasconade County

Gasconade County, MO (November 18, 2025) — A motorcycle rider died and his passenger suffered serious injuries after a motorcycle Collision on US 50 Saturday evening,

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash happened shortly after 5 p.m., about half a mile east of Cave Hill Road.

Troopers say a 66-year-old man from Washington was heading east on a 2007 Kawasaki when a deer entered the roadway, causing a collision.

Emergency crews flew the rider to Mercy Hospital, where he later died. His passenger, a 51-year-old woman also from Washington, was taken by ambulance to the same hospital with significant injuries. Both were wearing helmets at the time, but the motorcycle was destroyed in the crash.

Investigators remained on scene into the evening as they continued their work.
