Teen Motorcyclist Killed, Passenger Hurt in Loop 202 Crash in Tempe

Tempe, AZ (December 13, 2025) — On Thursday, a late-night collision on Loop 202 left a 17-year-old motorcyclist dead and her passenger with minor injuries early .

The Arizona Department of Public Safety reported that the motorcycle lost control on the westbound on-ramp at Priest Drive around 12:37 a.m.

Reports say that both riders were thrown from the bike. As they went down, an approaching vehicle struck the teen who had been driving the motorcycle, fatally injuring her. The passenger received minor injuries.

All parties remained at the scene, and DPS reopened the westbound lanes just before 5 a.m.
