Passenger Injured in Hit-and-Run Crash on Fulkerth Road [Turlock, CA]

Turlock, CA (May 01, 2022) – On Saturday, a person sustained injuries in a hit-and-run crash on Fulkerth Road.

The officers responded to the crash scene at 12:33 a.m. at the intersection with North Soderquist Road.

When they arrived, the authorities located a gray Nissan sedan that had collided with a couple of metal bollards.

Officers say that it had five occupants when the accident took place. However, the driver fled on foot and only four were at the scene. 

A 21-year-old front-seat passenger sustained minor injuries and refused to be transported to the hospital. 

Three juvenile back seat passengers, ages 13, 15, and 17, did not sustain injuries from the collision.

The authorities say that they had a hard time putting the pieces together because the occupants only provided them with little information. Also, no one wanted to identify the driver.

One of the back seat juvenile passengers said that the driver turned westbound into the eastbound lanes of Fulkerth Road from North Golden State Boulevard. Then, the vehicle crashed into the bollards when the driver tried to correct into the right lanes of traffic.

Moreover, investigating officers found a 24-pack of Modelo beer lying on the ground right next to the vehicle. 

Later on, the three juveniles were picked up by their respective parents.

The vehicle incurred moderate damage and was deemed inoperable due to the accident, requiring it to be towed away from the scene.
