23-Year-Old Passenger Injured in Deadly Vehicle Crash on Houston Avenue [Lemoore, CA]

Leemore, CA (April 22, 2025) – A 23-year-old male passenger was injured in a deadly vehicle crash on Houston Avenue Sunday night.

The fatal traffic accident happened around 11:35 p.m. over Highway 198. 

CHP said an officer was on routine patrol near the scene when he came upon the collision.

Investigators said a 20-year-old Wasco man was driving a westbound BMW M340i at a high rate of speed. They said the driver was speeding toward a right-hand curve in the road. 

As a result, the driver was unable to safely negotiate the curve and lost control of the vehicle. The BMW then struck a concrete barrier on the overcrossing.

Responders declared the driver dead at the scene while the 23-year-old front passenger was airlifted to Kaweah Health Medical Center in Visalia with serious injuries.
