Passenger Itzel Limas Dies in FM 2812 Wrong-Way Crash [ Hidalgo County, TX]

People Injured in Edinburg Fatal Crash

Hidalgo County, TX (November 25, 2024)Itzel Limas, 28, of Edinburg, was killed in an FM 2812 wrong-way crash early Sunday morning.

The deadly two-vehicle crash happened at 3:38 a.m. on Vista Bonita Drive in Edinburg. 

Investigators said a 2012 Honda Accord, occupied by the male driver and Itzel Limas was westbound on the eastbound lane toward Vista Bonita Drive.  

An eastbound 2019 Hyundai Santa Fe was occupied by two men on FM 2812 and collided with the Honda.  

The Hyundai’s two occupants were transported to Doctor’s Hospital at Renaissance with non-life-threatening injuries.  

Moreover, the Honda’s driver and Itzel Limas were also transported to the same hospital with incapacitating injuries.  

Sadly, Itzel Limas died in the hospital.  

DPS is investigating this fatal crash.
