Police Investigate Fatal Crash at Loop 410 and Perrin Beitel in San Antonio

SAN ANTONIO, TX (May 15, 2026)— A passenger died early Friday after a rollover crash at Loop 410 and Perrin Beitel on the North Side of San Antonio.

According to the San Antonio Police Department, the crash happened just before 2 a.m. at the intersection of the Loop 410 access road and Perrin Beitel Road.

SAPD’s preliminary report said a BMW was traveling southbound on Perrin Beitel when its driver sped through a red light at the intersection and crashed into a Dodge Ram.

After the impact, the BMW rolled over in front of a nearby restaurant.

Police said a passenger in the BMW, believed to be in his 20s, died at the scene.

Two people at the scene told officers that the BMW driver and another passenger fled on foot after the crash.

The driver of the Dodge Ram remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators.

A police spokesperson said the BMW driver will face charges connected to the passenger’s death once authorities locate them.

The San Antonio Police Department continues to investigate the fatal crash.
