COVELO, CA (June 9, 2026)— A passenger died Monday evening after a suspected DUI rollover crash on Hull Valley Road near Covelo.

According to information relayed through Mendocino County dispatch traffic, emergency responders were called around 5:30 p.m. to the area of Hull Valley Road near Mina Road for a reported traffic collision involving a disturbance.

Early reports indicated that a vehicle had overturned and that a victim was trapped beneath it.

Medical personnel were initially told to stage away from the scene while law enforcement secured the area. Dispatch traffic later indicated that responders had removed the trapped victim from beneath the vehicle.

Authorities later confirmed that the crash was fatal. According to dispatch information, a passenger in the vehicle died as a result of the collision.

The driver reportedly survived and was described as shaken up after the crash.
