2 Dead in Marana Plane Accident at Marana Regional Airport

MARANA, AZ (April 9, 2026) – Wednesday night, a brutal passenger plane crash at Marana Regional Airport killed two people.

The incident involving a passenger plane happened at the Marana Regional Airport.

Officials said a passenger plane went off the runway at Marana Regional Airport, crashed, and caught fire. No other aircraft were involved.

Northwest Fire District crews responded and brought the fire under control.

Marana police said the investigation has been turned over to the National Transportation Safety Board. No additional details were immediately released.
