Stainislav Chikerenda Arrested in Vancouver Multi-Vehicle Accident on Interstate 5 Bridge

VANCOUVER, WA (July 23, 2025) – Friday morning, Patricia Helton sustained injuries in an alarming multi-vehicle crash on the Interstate 5 Bridge.

The incident happened at around 9:50 a.m. on the Interstate 5 Bridge.

According to reports, a southbound tractor-trailer rig traveling at a high rate of speed struck two vehicles, resulting in a larger collision.

Moreover, officers confirmed that the first two drivers were identified as 19-year-old Jacob Z. Milare and 27-year-old Ngoc Q. Nguyen. Then, the other drivers involved in the crash were identified as 86-year-old An D. Ngo, 33-year-old Brenson J. Mannhalter, 42-year-old Matthew R. Ehenstrom, and 52-year-old Helton.

Furthermore, responders transported Helton to PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center with unknown injuries.

Moreover, officers arrested the truck driver, identified as 53-year-old Stainislav Chikerenda, pending unknown charges.

At this time, the events leading to the crash remained unclear. When additional information becomes available, the public will be notified.
