LAREDO, TX (September 24, 2026) – Wednesday, an alarming patrol unit crash near 15025 FM Road 1472 sent 2 people to the hospital.

The incident involving a United Independent School District Police Department patrol unit happened near 14025 Farm to Market Road 1472, also known as Mines Road.

A United Independent School District officer was not at fault in a crash that sent the officer’s patrol unit into a ditch, according to the Laredo Police Department.

LPD said preliminary findings show the officer had the right of way when a blue Chevrolet Equinox caused the collision.
