Injuries Reported in Houston Auto Accident on Chenevert Street and Tuam Street

HOUSTON, TX (December 2, 2025) – Late Sunday night, 2 Houston police officers sustained injuries in a startling patrol vehicle crash on Chenevert Street and Tuam Street.

The incident happened at about 10:50 p.m. on Chenevert Street and Tuam Street.

Sgt. Rose said the officers were driving north on Chenevert Street when another vehicle traveling west on Tuam Street ran a stop sign and hit the patrol unit in the intersection. Chenevert does not have a stop sign, so the officers had the right of way. He said the officers weren’t doing anything wrong.

Two officers and two passengers from the other vehicle were taken to Memorial Hermann. Everyone was in stable condition and treated for non-critical injuries.

Investigators have not said yet if charges will be filed.
