Man Fatally Struck by Pickup Truck on Yosemite Boulevard in Modesto

Modesto, CA (August 7, 2025) – A pickup truck driver struck and killed a man early Wednesday morning after a tragic pedestrian accident near Yosemite Boulevard.

According to authorities, the horrific crash happened shortly before 5 a.m. near Santa Barbara Avenue in Modesto.

Responding officers found the man unresponsive in the roadway and attempted life-saving measures, but he died at the scene. Authorities have not yet released his identity, pending notification of his family.

According to initial reports, the driver — a Modesto resident behind the wheel of a Toyota Tacoma — was heading eastbound on Yosemite Boulevard when the collision happened. The driver remained at the scene and is cooperating with the ongoing investigation.
