Pedestrian Dies After Being Struck Near Bus Stop on Lemay Ferry Road in South St. Louis County
St. Louis County, MO (March 15, 2026) — On Friday afternoon, a woman lost her life after a pedestrian Accident on Lemay Ferry Road in south St. Louis County.
The fatal crash happened around 2:30 p.m. in the 1700 block of Lemay Ferry Road in unincorporated St. Louis County.
Investigators said a southbound driver collided with another vehicle from behind. The impact caused the striking vehicle to veer off the roadway and hit the pedestrian who was waiting near a nearby bus stop.
Emergency responders rushed the victim to a hospital for treatment, but she later succumbed to her injuries.
Authorities said the driver who struck the pedestrian suffered injuries that were not considered life-threatening and was also taken to a hospital. The driver of the rear-ended vehicle remained at the scene and was not hurt.
The South County Precinct of the St. Louis County Police Department continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash.
