Woman Injured After Vehicle Strikes Her Near Union Avenue in Bakersfield

Bakersfield, CA (August 1, 2026) — A woman sustained moderate injuries after a pedestrian accident on Union Avenue when a vehicle struck her while she was crossing the street early Friday morning.

According to the Bakersfield Police Department, the collision occurred around 4:42 a.m. at the intersection of Union Avenue and 4th Street. Investigators said the woman was crossing mid-block when the vehicle hit her.
