San Marcos, CA (February 9, 2026) — A pedestrian lost their life Friday evening after a tragic accident on West Mission Road in San Marcos.

Sheriff’s deputies responded to the collision around 7:50 p.m. and found a black Honda Odyssey involved in the crash. The pedestrian was located in the westbound lanes of West San Marcos Boulevard. Despite emergency crews providing immediate aid, the pedestrian died at the scene.
