According to San Mateo police, a vehicle struck the three pedestrians at about 7:36 p.m. while they were crossing the intersection of N Delaware and State streets. 

The injured victims included a father, identified by family members as Ramon, and two younger siblings, ages 8 and 16.

The family said Ramon remains in the intensive care unit and faces a long and difficult recovery. 

A GoFundMe page created to help with expenses states that he has already undergone one surgery and is expected to need additional medical procedures. 

The page also says one of the juveniles suffered a fractured skull in the collision, while both children are now recovering at home.

In a message shared on the fundraising page, the family described the emotional and financial impact of the crash and asked for help as they work through the aftermath.

Police have not released further details about the collision or the driver involved.
