Injuries Reported in Prescott Pedestrian Accident at Prescott Women’s Clinic

PRESCOTT, AZ (May 14, 2026) – Tuesday morning, a person sustained injuries in an alarming pedestrian crash at Prescott Women’s Clinic.

The incident happened at about 7:52 a.m. at Prescott Women’s Clinic, at a private property accident.

Law enforcement officials said a 78-year-old woman from Prescott Valley pulled into a business parking lot and attempted to park in a handicapped space when she reportedly mistook the accelerator for the brake pedal.

Authorities said the woman’s Ford Ranger drove over the sidewalk and crashed into a block wall at the front of the building. The vehicle then redirected off the wall and struck a 21-year-old pedestrian.

The pedestrian suffered major head and facial injuries, along with fractures to her left wrist and left ankle. She was taken to Yavapai Regional Medical Center West before being airlifted to St. Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center. Her current condition has not been released.

Police said the Prescott Police Department Traffic Safety Section determined impairment was not a factor in the crash.
