HOUSTON, TX (September 7, 2026) – Late Saturday night, a woman died in a devastating pedestrian crash near 12900 Westheimer Road.

The incident occurred at about 11:51 p.m. near the 12900 block of Westheimer Road.

A group of women was crossing the roadway to reach a nearby club when a vehicle struck one of them, according to police. Investigators said the group was not using a designated crosswalk.

The woman, who appeared to be in her 20s, was taken to a hospital with critical injuries and later died. Police are withholding her identity until her family is notified.
